Registered Mental Nurse (RMN)

BSc Honours Health Studies

I commenced Mental Health nurse training in 1990, as a mature student. Following registration I have held a variety of positions within statutory, private and the voluntary settings across many programs of care.

My appointments as Director of Care and Support in both the mental health and housing sectors, enabled me to ensure that needs of service users and quality service delivery were paramount in everything. The roles also included directing and leading teams through organizational transition and developing services for a range of vulnerable client groups.

I am passionate about protecting those vulnerable and hard to reach groups and have been involved for many years in policy development and the delivery of training in respect of safeguarding both adults and children. I completed City and Guilds (level 3) on Adult Safeguarding and was a recognized trainer for ‘Volunteer Now’.

Married with four grown up children, ten grandchildren, and a very active Labaradodle named Ruby, my leisure time is well filled and walking one of may favorite pastimes.
I remain registered with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC)
